With a background in Interior Design and Psychology/Sociology (specializing in grief, loss, and bereavement), and now proudly accredited as a Senior Real Estate Specialist® (SRES®), I bring a rare blend of design expertise, emotional intelligence, and specialized training to the downsizing process. The SRES® designation means I’m formally trained to support seniors, adult children, executors, and families through downsizing, estate sales, and major life transitions—with clarity, patience, and dignity.

My husband, Mark, is the backbone of our operation. With over 25 years of experience in construction, he is patient, hardworking, and genuinely great with people. While I focus on marketing, strategy, and finding the right buyers, Mark works behind the scenes ensuring every home is prepared, repaired, and presented at its absolute best. He also manages our trusted crews, making sure every detail runs smoothly.

Together, we’ve renovated, built, and sold countless properties, managed rentals and land development projects, and created a true one-stop downsizing solution. Instead of families juggling multiple companies and contractors, we handle everything—from selling the home to coordinating movers, decluttering specialists, estate-sale partners, and skilled trades.

Our passion for helping families through change comes from personal experience. We watched our own parents and grandparents struggle with downsizing—overwhelmed by decisions, logistics, and a lack of support. It showed us how emotionally and physically exhausting this process can be, especially for seniors and the families trying to help them. We knew there had to be a better way.

Our Rescue Story: A Home Full of Love (and Fur!)

Animals hold a very special place in our hearts. Over the years, we’ve opened our home—and our hearts—to many rescued dogs and cats, both locally and from around the world. At our highest point, we joyfully shared our lives with 7 dogs and 5 cats—all rescued, all loved like family.

Our rescue journey has taken us from local overcrowded shelters and families in need, to as far as Costa Rica and Egypt. One of our most unforgettable rescues is Layaly, a brave Egyptian street dog with a severe neck injury. When local vets couldn’t provide the care she desperately needed, we answered a call for help from her rescuer, brought her to Canada, and got her life-saving surgery. Her incredible journey was captured in a documentary that won the top animal rescue prize at TIFF in 2022.

For us, rescue isn’t just a passion—it’s a way of life.
